Scientific research is a systematic approach to studying and analyzing phenomena and understanding human behavior in light of its interaction with the material, social, and cultural environment. The psychological dimension plays an important role in explaining behavior and influencing individual and collective actions, prompting religions, laws, and human sciences to examine the human psyche and the factors affecting it.
Political psychology has emerged as an interdisciplinary field that explains political phenomena by analyzing the motives, attitudes, and behavioral patterns influencing political practices. Its importance lies in understanding power dynamics and relations between rulers and the ruled. This research aims to examine the main psychological interpretations of obedience and compliance with authority, as fundamental issues shaping political relationships, and to review the most significant theoretical and empirical contributions explaining these behaviors in light of various psychological and contextual factors.
