Sir Lawrence Freedman asserts in his book that successful military leadership does not depend on field and technological superiority alone, but on the ability to adapt to ambiguity and link contemporary operations with the political goals of the state.
He believes that modern wars, from Korea to Ukraine, have transformed into a complex system in which seven basic elements overlap: intelligence, technology, the media, public opinion, the economy, international support, and cyber warfare. The book concludes that modern tools such as artificial intelligence and drones are merely auxiliary means, while human will and the acumen of strategic decision-making remain the decisive factor in settling conflicts and achieving true political victory.Downloads
